So if you're having a problem with these adds I would suggest not breaking the crystal or interrupting his casts, making him waste time channeling rather than attempting to summon the Felflames. If you start in 'Meredil', go over the bridge at the flight point and then go to the right, go up the hill to south and cross the way to a ruin, there you will find Mal'Dreth the Corruptor.
Until this is fixed, I found the best ways to combat this bug are to use any kind of slowing or pull mechanic to keep him in the center of the arena whilst burning him as quickly as possible.
